Complete design of a 763m long and 35m wide pre-cast pre-stressed segmental cable stayed
bridge with a 405m long main span and two side spans, each 179m long. The north and south
piers are 72 m and 80m high to the underside of the 5 m deep deck; above are two 90m high
towers.
Each pier foundation consists of 100 nos. bored cast in-situ reinforced concrete piles of
1,180 mm dia. with lengths varying between 8m and 26 m.
Major quantities:
- Excavation and filling : 135,000 m3.
- Concrete : 44,000 m3.
- Reinforcement : 5,275 ton.
- Post tensioning strands : 468 MT.
- Stay cables : 1,697 MT.
